Derrick Oduro is a Ghanaian-Canadian, multidisciplinary Designer based in the Greater Toronto Area. With 5-7 years of experience, his work specializes in branding, print, digital marketing, product design, art direction, and photography. Derrick holds an Associate's degree in UX/UI Design from Emily Carr University and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Ontario College of Art and Design University. He is also the Founder and Creative Director of DOMedia/DOPhoto, a digital agency he established five years ago, building on his freelance expertise and client work to support minority creatives and assist local businesses with various multimedia services.
Derrick is a creative thinker, problem solver, and entrepreneurial spirit who is curious, detail-focused, adaptable, and proactive. He identifies challenges and develops effective solutions, thriving on transforming ideas into reality. He finds inspiration everywhere—people, travel, research, and personal experiences—fueling his creativity. Derrick aims to change perspectives and overcome obstacles through visual storytelling, crafting engaging user experiences that prioritize inclusivity and equity.
Derrick utilizes design as a tool to communicate and provide services that foster innovation, authenticity, social change, representation, and business, all while staying true to his core human values.
