Hello :)
Derrick Oduro is a Ghanaian-Canadian, multidisciplinary Graphic Designer based in the Greater Toronto Area. With 7+ years of experience, his work specializes in branding, print, digital marketing, product design, art direction, and photography. Derrick holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Ontario College of Art and Design University and an Associate's degree in UX/UI Design from Emily Carr University, where he continued his studies to expand professional career. He is also the Founder and Creative Director of DOMedia/DOPhoto, a digital agency he established during the height of the pandemic in 2020. The agency builds on his freelance expertise and passion projects while helping to elevate client businesses with various multimedia services, amplify minority creative voices and showcase their work.
Derrick is a strategic thinker, problem-solver, entrepreneurial spirit and dreamer at heart. He identifies challenges and develops effective solutions, thriving on transforming ideas into reality with meticulous execution. Derrick finds inspiration everywhere and in anything—people, travel, nature, books, research, and personal life experiences—fuelling his creativity and curiosity. He aims to shift narratives through authentic visual storytelling, and craft compelling digital experiences that prioritize inclusivity and equity.
Derrick utilizes design as a tool to communicate and provide services that foster innovation, authenticity, social change, representation, and business. He believes in leading with purpose, in alignment and staying true to his core values as an individual.
“Great design has both incredible sensibility and enormous sensitivity and when both are present, there can be no argument.”
